Dogs of all shapes and sizes took their sundry owners along to Stracathro Hospital on September, 22, for an exemption show that raised over £300 for the medical unit. There were serious and fun events, with the best-in-show award going to a Pekinese shown by Mrs M Skinner, from Aberdeen, while a fox terries and his owner, Mr J. Russell, from Trinity, Brechin, won the award for the best six legs.

Mr John Mckay, the Scottish Health Minister, when he visited Stracathro Hospital last Thursday, praised its excellent specialist services, seeing it as the ideal hospital for all Angus. At the same time he expressed the hope that a satisfactory solution would soon be found for the Arbroath Infirmary issue.
