Ten prefects of Brechin High School were sponsored in the recent Right of Way races and have now presented a cheque for £233.50 to Action Research. Fiona Sim presented the cheque to Dr Robert Martin, a member of the Brechin committee. The others running were Karen Howe, David Murphy, Scott Davidson, Graeme Gray, Lucy Liddiard, Wendy Duke, Ian Baird, Adam Hendry and James Gourlay.
Angus Local Health Council on Wednesday by 14 votes to four agreed to inform Tayside Health Board of their total opposition to any programme of privatisation of hospital services. Provost Andrew Welsh said we were rightly proud of our National Health Service. “It should be run full-time by dedicated full-time hospital staff.”
