Angus Area Tourist Board hopes each town in the district will soon have its own publicity material to be inserted in the Board’s forthcoming brochure. Mr Conan Ritchie, a member of the executive committee of the area tourist board, said that he plans to produce 20,000 copes of a brochure for the Brechin district which will include much more detailed information on the area than could possible be incorporated in the Angus brochure.

After discussions which lasted four hours 35 minutes, Tayside Regional Council decided last Thursday that the consultation process on the five primary schools threatened with closure should be resumed. The affected schools are Dryburgh, Blackshade, Invertay, Fowlis Easter and Farnell.
