Tayside Regional Council roads department is proposing a 12-tonne gross weight restriction on the bridge carrying Pitforthie Road, Brechin, over a disused railway line. The traffic order, imposing the temporary restrictions, will be effective for three months from April 1 whilst engineers assess the extent of the necessary bridge repairs.

Tayside Regional Council proposes to adjust off-street car parking regulations to take account of changing circumstances. For example, the charging arrangements at Market Street, Brechin, and Green Street, Forfar, would be altered to increase the ‘turnover’ of vehicles using them.
At Maisondieu Lane, Brechin, and West High Street, Forfar, the arrangements would be altered to provide a long-term parking facility.
