The floors of the Inglis Memorial Hall, Edzell, gleam with polish thanks to the hard work of the hall-keeper, Mr McKenzie. Members of the Badminton Club, however, have been complaining that in the main hall they are too slippery to play on.

Mr A. White, president of the club, said the hall has never looked so good, but that the floors are getting the wrong treatment for badminton. “I have never seen floors in such condition and the corridor is magnificent but it is a wonder that no one has broken an arm or a leg”. Mr Peter Dow, Edzell, suggested to the members of Brechin District Council that the floor be sponged to keep it clean, and in the course of time the floor would become less slippery. The Council agreed that this could be tried, and no further action taken meantime.
