The town council some months ago approved a plan for a children’s swimming pool at the Inch with paved surround and seating which was estimated to cost from £700 to £800. When the tenders came in however, it was found that the cost would be £1333. Though some would have preferred a round or rectangular pool the council agreed to the cloverleaf shape suggested.
