Edzell Church was beautifully decorated for the harvest thanksgiving service which was conducted by the Rev. John Becke, Scots Kirk, Bombay. The many gifts of flowers, fruit, vegetables etc., were donated to two Church of Scotland youth hostels in Dundee and to sick and elderly folk in the village.

Though the building is only starting, it is evident that the £9,000 extension to the Public Library is to be circular in shape, from the great round ‘O’ which has been excavated behind the present building.

Following the harvest thanksgiving in Maison Dieu Church on Sunday, 156 parcels and 30 bunches of flowers were distributed among sick and elderly members of the congregation by the Sunday School children.
