Football: Arbroath Lads Club 0, Brechin Thistle 1.
Brechin Thistle finally won a game, the first in four season and win in style they did with some super football. The first half produced some first class moves from both teams. Thistle’s ‘keeper and defence were easily the better of the two. Mason was left unmarked in the second half and shot home easily, getting the goal Thistle had fought so hard for. Thistle’s manager added: “Well done, boys, you made me the happiest manager in the league.”

Football: Charlie Elivin’s move to a new job at Berwick has resulted in a swoop between Brechin City and Raith Rovers. Elivin is going to Kirkcaldy and Jim Kerr will be moving to Glebe Park. He should be an asset to the City team.
