Football: Brechin City 2, Clydebank 2.
The atrocious weather conditions did not put either team off at Glebe Park. Both served up remarkably good football though the homesters, had they taken all their chances, should have beaten their bogey team. The draw was a pleasant surprise for second-place Clydebank whose manager admitted City had been right on top of them in the second half.

Football: East Fife 2, Brechin City 0.
City paid dearly for the loss of striker Derek Hyslop who grabbed the goal which clinched the visitors’ defeat. Manager Fleming said that Saturday’s performance he would not tolerate.
