Football: Brechin City 1, St Johnstone 0.
Saints, who had scored 13 goals and taken seven points from their previous four games, came a cropper at Glebe Park on Saturday. And for Brechin it was their first win following three discouraging defeats. “It was a must for us to win this game and especially pleasing to beat a side which has been hammering in the goals lately,” was Manager Fleming’s comment.

Football: Brechin Harp 4, Arbroath Rancel 3.
This was a vital game for both teams as they each needed a win to go clear at the top of the league, and thanks to Harp’s new found determination not to give up, they came out on top of a very good game.
