Football: Brechin City 1, East Fife 1.
East Fife gained some revenge for their recent cup defeat when they retained a point in their league game at Glebe Park on Saturday. The match was played in freezing conditions on a bone-hard pitch. Even the referee took a tumble. Manager Fleming thought the draw a fair enough result. “East Fife hit us before we got started but once we did we could have had a couple of goals.” Jim Kerr hit the crossbar and Doug Lees went close and Bobby Torrance missed a good chance.
