And the score just about sums up the dullness of the game. Neither team nor the 400 supporters could have had much satisfaction from Saturday’s League encounter at Glebe Park. In fact the whole performance was so poor that manager Charlie Dunn is to make an official apology in Saturday’s programme. The home team may be sadly depleted through injuries but that was no excuse for such a miserable display.
The only excuse for the players was perhaps the strong, blustery wind which made ball control difficult.
