Cricket: Brechin V condor. A good cricket day. A fast outfield and faster wicket made runs come at a great rate. The navy men batted first and in two and a quarter hours exceeded the double century for the loss of only six wickets.

CRICKET: Brechin v R.N. Scotland at Guthrie Park on Sunday in similar conditions but not so many runs going, though scoring was still fast. R.N. with 68 for three were all out for 113. Four batsmen were dismissed by wicket-keeper Beedie who had three catches and one stumped and allowed only one bye.
Wilson and Howie did the damage with a welcome five for 30 for the latter, his last four wickets costing only 11 runs. Wilson bowled 18 overs with eight maidens and four for 31.
