Football: Stirling Albion 3, Brechin City 0
Albion were bombarding the City goal from the word ‘go’; Mike McVittie was again the hero of a defence which bore the brunt of a rather one-sided game. The ‘keeper was in top form. Several of his saves were of the real “classy” variety. Brechin played hard enough but lacked finishing power and too often were thrown back by the solid Stirling defence.

Hockey: Brechin 1, Lawside 1.
The best game so far with Brechin unfortunate not to earn both points. Forced once again to play their far from strongest team, it was Brechin right from the start who produced the thrills, with Jolly putting them in the lead. However, Lawside scored in the last few minutes.
