A full summer programme of holiday fun has been planned by Angus Council for the county’s young people with the promise of something for everyone.

A spokeswoman for the council said the programme has activities at all council leisure facilities. She said: “The programme includes athletics, rugby, golf, basketball, football and dance. There is also a Rural Summer Active Club.”

Activities in Brechin include a holiday club at Brechin Leisure Centre, beginning on June 30 and continuing until August 8. Also at the centre will be short tennis, run, jump and throw sessions, basketball and trampolining.

There will be a Commonwealth Games rural multi-activity camp at Edzell Primary School from June 30 to July 2. SFA coaches will run football sessions at the leisure centre with mini-kickers classes aimed at three to five-year-olds and football coaching for older children divided into two groups - five to seven-year-olds and eight to 12-year-olds.

Other activities include rugby taster sessions at Brechin Rugby Club, golf lessons at Brechin Golf Club and dance workshops at the City Hall. Full details on all the activities are available at
