As part of a national programme, Angus Council sports development team hosted a Clubgolf festival at Brechin Leisure Centre on Friday.
The festival catered for primary five children from the schools in the Brechin High School cluster.
The festival saw around 100 children take part in a series of golf based drills and games.
Clubgolf demonstrates how golf can be delivered through fun-based activity sessions involving large groups of youngsters.
Clubgolf is a national programme that is being delivered locally through a partnership involving Angus Council Sports Development Team, Education Department, Active Schools, SportTayside & Fife and local golf professionals.
The festival was all about participation and fun.
This was in the form of ten stations where the groups moved around and tried all the different aspects of the game of golf.
There were stations where children focused on teamwork and specific techniques.
Helping the children around the stations there were senior pupils from Brechin High School.
The senior pupils explained the activity along with providing coaching and guidance, the students were a credit to High School by showing their ambassadorial skills and professionalism.
Throughout the whole festival the main emphasis was on fair play, enjoyment and safety.
The afternoon of fun colourful golf proved successful which children leaving with beaming smiles after going from tee to green.
