AT LAST week’s meeting of the Brechin Rotary Club, members were treated to an overview of the plans for the new Brechin High School campus.

The talk was delivered by club member and High School rector Steve Dempsey.

Steve enthused on the project, which will see the school scheduled to open in August 2015.

He discussed how the project will give a boost to the entire city of Brechin when it provides the area with a state of the art secondary school that will be the envy of many a borough.

During his presentation, Steve discussed the project from when he first heard in September 2009 of the possibility of a like-for-like replacement right through to the present time, with the project soon to go to final planning.

Steve emphasised the high level of local consultation that has taken place which, combined with the expertise of the architects, will produce an exciting place to learn and study for young Brechiners in the future.

Steve was thanked for his talk by club member Dave Howson, for revealing a glimpse into this exciting development.
