If you are stuck for things for your children to do this summer there are a number of indoor activities taking place this summer at the Brechin Leisure Centre as part of their summer holiday 2011 programme.
Some of the activities include a Holiday Club which runs from Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 4pm and is aimed at primary one to seven children.
There is also a crèche available for children aged six weeks to pre-school on Monday to Friday from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.
Junior coaching is available to children in primary one to seven. Taking place this week is a trampoline crash course for beginners between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm and next week children will have the opportunity to take part in a athletics (synthetic court) coaching sessions running on August 1, 3 and 5 between 12 noon and 1 pm.
For older children aged between 10 and 16 years there will be a chance to take part in the Xtreme Youth Zone (circuit sessions) which will take place on August 8, 10 and 12 between 12 noon and 1 pm.
If your child enjoys swimming then there is a variety of lane swimming, public sessions and family fun sessions taking place at the Brechin High School Pool as well as a number structures activities such as crash course swimming lessons, rookie lifeguard and aqua aerobics.
Angus Council’s ACTIVE dance summer workshop will be at the Brechin City Hall on August 1-4 from 1 pm to 3 pm for children aged five to 12 which will give children the chance to learn and perform a mini show to be performed to family and friends on the final day. The workshop will also include making props and other items to go along with the dance performance.
