The Inner Wheel Club of Brechin celebrated its 25th birthday dinner on Friday, March 20, in the Northern Hotel in Brechin.
The Club first met in 1990 and held its charter dinner the following year in the Glenesk Hotel in Edzell with 16 members.
Four founder members, who are still in the Brechin club, attended the recent birthday dinner - Cecelia Fernandez, Mary Morgan, Rita Stewart and Pam Thomson.
Also attending the dinner was Margaret Haxton, the first club president, along with her husband, Andrew, who was the Rotary president at that time. Coincidentally, the current club president, Kath Collis, attended the dinner with her husband, Steve, the current Rotary Club president.
The speaker for the evening was Trish Douglas, Inner Wheel Association Vice President. Pam Thomson gave the Toast to Inner Wheel and Marjorie Duncan, District Chairman and a member of the Ellon club, replied. Guests from Perth, Forfar, Montrose, Kirriemuir and Laurencekirk Inner Wheel clubs also attended.
