At a recent meeting of Brechin Gold Forum, held in the Damacre Centre, members discussed consultation on government proposals to merge adult health (NHS) with social care in local government.
Members also welcomed guest speaker Elizabeth Montgomery Fox, representing Angus Independent Advocacy (AIA), who gave the audience an insight into the work done by the organisation in assisting people who may by faced with problems such as learning disabilities, dementia, frailty in old age when nobody want to listen, unsociable neighbours, etc. Mary Dow reported on continued discussions with the bus companies and will be organising a meeting soon.
Mary will be happy to receive any complaints or issues for discussion that can be put to the local bus companies.
On the agenda at the next meeting on Thursday, July 26 at 2 pm will be dropped kerbs for wheelchairs users.
