People in Angus who may have an idea for a project to benefit their community are being invited to apply for new lottery funding that has just become available.
A spokesman for Angus Council’s external funding team said that the People’s Millions scheme has just reopened for applications from communities.
She explained that the Big Lottery Fund and ITV were looking for new projects that would improve local places and the lives of people in the community, She said that voluntary or community organisations, schools, local authorities or health bodies could apply.
“Entries from branches of organisations or partnerships will be considered. The fund can pay for all your project costs or you can ask them to pay for part of a larger project”, she said.
“If you are a voluntary or community organisation they will also contribute towards your organisation’s overheads”.
Awards of £20,000 up to £50,000 are available.
