Brechin Rotary Club members were given a fascinating insight into the working life of one of their members at their recent meeting.

Donald McIntyre spoke on his work at Kinnaird Castle and the South Esk Estate at meeting in the Caledonian Hotel.

Donald has worked on the estate since 2003 and he described his varied and fulfilling life as gardener and handy man.

Rotary Club member Charlie Allison gave Donald a vote of thanks.

During the meeting at the Caledonian Hotel, club president Jim Houston reported a very successful club bag pack at the Co-operative in the past few weeks, when the group was raising money for the Children’s Hospice at Kinross.

He reminded members of the forthcoming bucket collection at Brechin City’s game with Rangers on Sunday, March 23.

Members were also told about the local heat of the primary schools Quiz which the club will hold at Brechin High School on Monday, March 31.

In a busy month the club members will be visiting the facilities at ATMRC in Dundee next week.

ATMRC is a leading company in refurbishing and supplying cash machines to all over the world, and is run by Andy Edgar.
