There are only a few days to go until Brechin Rotary Club host their ever popular annual quiz in the Caledonain Hotel - and tables are filling fast.
As per usual quizmaster for the night will be David Robinson.
“The quiz starts at 7.30 p.m on Tuesday, July 30, and a lot of the tables are now booked but more teams are very welcome,” explained David.
“To book a table at £12 per team of four, please call in to David Robinson Opticians in St David Street.”
Each year the club fund-raise for a charity of their choosing.
“This year we are supporting the very worthwhile Pregnancy Sickness Support organisation, which does excellent support work, and are, of course, delighted to have the backing of the Duchess of Cambridge as reported earlier,” David continued.
“It should be a lot of fun with the usual mix of sensible and bizarre questions.
“The Rotary Club looks forward to a full house again.”
David’s daughter, and former Brechiner, Heather Miranda, is a team leader for Scotland for this worthy charity, having suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum - an extreme sickness condition - when she was pregnant with her son Joseph.
She joined Pregnancy Sickness Support to help raise awareness of the condition.
Pregnancy Sickness Support is a registered UK charity working to improve care, treatment and support for women suffering from Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition, Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
It is currently a small charity and relies heavily on donations and fund-raising from sufferers and the work of volunteers but is growing rapidly thanks to the hard work and dedication of a small team.
