Rotary District 1010 Governor Keith Hopkins and his wife Mary were at Brechin Rotary Club’s meeting last week.

Keith presides over Britain’s largest Rotary District, which includes all of the Northern and Western Isles, Highland, Grampian, Tayside, Central and Fife. He spoke about many aspects of Rotary, emphasising not only the humanitarian projects that the organisation is well known for but also the fellowship and fun.

He highlighted the words of World leader of Rotary International this year, Gary Yeung, whose motto is ‘Light up Rotary’. Keith’s analogy to this was that we should be like radiators giving out heat and warmth, and not like drains. He was thanked by Stanley Callaghan.
