Balgavies Loch was the destination for Brechin’s Stepping Out group last week.
A spokesperson for the group said: “Sunshine all the way as we walked in the countryside amid the abundant flora and fauna. Two of us enjoyed the wild strawberries on offer. From the hide we were lucky enough to see an osprey land on a tree on the island; ducks and other wild fowl are also in abundance plus three cows with their calves lazing behind a good strong fence.”
Today (Wednesday) the group are back in Ferryden, walking to Scurdie Ness for a picnic. The group will leave the Damacre Centre at 1pm. All abilities welcome.
