Brechin Rotary Club member Charlie Allison spoke about his recent trip to Iceland at last week’s meeting.
He described the sights and sounds of this fascinating country, where breathtaking waterfalls and volcanoes rub shoulders with glaciers and geysers to provide a winter wonderland for the many tourists that venture here nowadays. Charlie’s illustrated presentation included an appreciation of the culinary delights of this northern outpost but he baulked at the offer of puffin with seaweed. He concluded his insight into this land of ice, fire and flood with some stunning views of the Northern Lights over the Nordic landscape. Paul Roberts gave Charlie a vote of thanks.
