A TEAM of drummers and pipers from the City of Brechin Pipe Band took to the river Tummel at Clunie near Pitlochry on Sunday to take part in a fund raising white water rafting challenge (see picture bottom right).

Nine drummers and three pipers were full of nerves but these were soon forgot and by the time they reached the last 10 foot drop they were all on a high - with everyone stating they would do it again, even the three who landed in the water.

The fun day was organised by drummer Catherine Gordon. The team raised an incredible £1,600 which is going to Cash for Kids at Radio Tay.
