Ninewells Hospital’s occupational therapy department benefited from a generous donation of £1500 from three Edzell ladies.

Jess Christie, Marion Harper and Vera Galt raised the money after taking over the Edzell charity shop for a month in January.

The occupational therapy department at Ninewells Hospital bought a number of items to help people with arthritis with the money.

Items purchased will be given to patients throughout Angus to try out. If the patient finds that the item does help they will then be asked to purchased them.

Some of the items purchased include: one touch can openers, hairdryer stands, chip baskets to be used as vegetable drainers, pill boxes, jar openers, insulated mugs, computer mice and two handled pots.
