Hudsons Football Club from Brechin, recently held their end of season presentation in the Northern Hotel.

During the evening, which celebrated Hudsons winning the Montrose Welfare League, a raffle and auction was held, which raised £900 for Angus Diabetes Endowment Fund.

A club spokesman wished to pass on his thanks to all those who donated prizes and to everyone who bought generously on the night.

Diabetes Specialist Nurse Gillian Wilkes, who accepted the cheque on the charity’s behalf, said that the money donated “will enhance services and resources in and around Angus.”

She added: “It will allow people to be treated in their own area rather than having to travel to Ninewells.”
