On Sunday, Father’s Day, the Rotary Ride 2015 was held, boosting awareness of prostate cancer, and raising funds to tackle the condition.
Rotarians all over Britain have been dusting down their bicycles and braving the elements with a sponsored ride in stages from John O’ Groats to Lands End.
Brechin Rotary Club was represented by Club Members Andy Edgar and Bruce Robertson. They took on the challenging, uphill all the way, section from Brechin to Kirriemuir on Sunday, contending with the heaviest rain for several weeks.
Adam Gaines Director of Prostate Scotland said: “Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Scotland. This initiative by Rotary Clubs across Scotland is fantastic and we thank them for going the extra mile to help raise awareness of prostate cancer.”
