Angus branch of National Trust for Scotland to hold AGM

The AGM for the Angus Members’ Centre of the National Trust for Scotland (NTS) will take place on Thursday,

October 1.

The meeting starts at 2.15pm in the Guide Hall, Myre Car Park, Forfar.

Connie Lovel, the assistant director, North, Properties & Visitor Services, will give an update on the current state of the NTS properties in the north east.

The meeting is open to everyone and non members would be very welcome.

The money raised by the Members’ Centre goes to projects both locally and nationally. Over the past year, amongst other things, the Members’ Centre has funded or contributed towards a wide range of projects at various properties:- plant labels and other items at Arduaine, Branklyn and Malleny Gardens; a Children’s Activity Centre at Killiecrankie; the North Tower Project at Kellie Castle; enhancements to the fiberglass pigs at the entrance of Gladstone’s Land; furniture for the Ranger Base at Killin; equipment to help with surveying at Mar Lodge Estate and on the Western Isles; theOutreach programme and school visits at House of Dun; the purchase of two items of furniture designed by Mackintosh for the Hill House; various items for use at Alloa Tower, Falkland Place, the Georgian House and Kellie Castle.
