Angus Council gives grant to ChildLine

ChildLine, the free 24 hour helpline for children and young people, will benefit from a £468 grant from Angus Council.

The money provided by the council will help ChildLine, an NSPCC Scotland service, be there for more children and young people who live away from home during 2013/14.

Elma Mitchell, the charity’s grants and trusts manager said: “We are very grateful to Angus council for helping us be there for more children in need of somewhere to turn. The grant provided by Angus council will help us train, recruit and support more volunteer counsellors to be there for vulnerable children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
