Angus Crafts

Crafts of Angus Showcase and Shop have a full programme of events planned for December, starting with a Late Night Shopping Experience. The shop is at 14 The Square, Letham.

Ladies can write a ‘Wish List’ during their visit on December 2 from 7 p.m.; and the gents can use the ‘Wish List’ on their visit on December 9 from 7 p.m. Both evenings will have refreshments and gift wrapping service.

Two workshops have been planned. Make your own Christmas coasters on December 6 or make Christmas stockings on December 13. If it’s knitting you like, join the group on the first and third Thursday mornings of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon or the second and fourth Thursday evenings of each month from 7 p.m. to 9.

Angus Craft Association set up the shop as a co-operative for its members to give them a retail outlet as well as showcase local hand crafted items. Normal opening hours are 10-5 Tuesday to Saturday; 12 to 5 Sunday

Geoff Riley, chairman, said: “Our members’ work hard to make the public aware of the quality products available in Angus and the ‘Craft of Angus Showcase and Shop’ will be the perfect place to display our crafts and ‘keep it local’.”
