Angus young persons health group

AN ANGUS wide group is being formed to allow young people aged 12 to 25 to focus on health matters that are important to them. This follows on the successful creation of a Tayside-wide young persons’ health group, Youth Talkin’ Health, and feedback from local young people at Angus Youth Action events.

The group will look at issues affecting the health and wellbeing of young people, and the services and facilities open to them. In addition, the group would be encouraged to work towards improving and providing local solutions to any identified problems.

The new group will be supported by the Angus Council community learning and development service and local NHS young persons’ health workers. An initial meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 February at 7.00pm in Angus Council’s Bruce House, Arbroath and any young person is welcome to attend.

Transport to and from the meeting may be available for those living outwith Arbroath. For further information e-mail aya@angus.gov.uk or contact Rikki Beattie on 01307 473662.
