The City of Brechin and District Community Council will hold its annual general meeting (agm) in the Damacre Centre on Tuesday, June 4, at 7.30 p.m.
Pupils from Brechin High School will attend to give a presentation on the variety of activities they undertake both in school and in the community.
The presentation from the pupils follows a meeting between senior pupils and several Community Council members some time ago. The Community
Councillors were so impressed by the comments of the pupils that they decided to invite them to the agm.
Interested members of the community are encouraged to attend.
Community council convener Grahame Lockhart commented: “We normally have a few members of the community attending our meeting and I wish to persuade more to make this a regular item in their diary.
“The City of Brechin and District Community Council has encouraged members of the community to bring concerns to the meeting and have invited Angus Council officers to meeting to address these issues.”
The Community Council is looking for a volunteer to take on the position of minute secretary as Wendy Coutts who currently holds the post is very busy on a number of issues within the community and has announced she will demit that post.
If anyone wishes to volunteer, please contact community council convener Grahame Lockhart on 07709961330.
