The Ashvale Restaurant has a number of fund raising activities taking place in aid of Montrose Maternity Unit and the Special Care Baby Unit at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Assistant manager Michaela Strachan and her partner, Robbie Hill, and general assistant Hayley Holland and her fiancé, Andrew Nestorow, welcomed twins into the world within days of each other.

Riley and Keirra Hill were born on October 31, with Keanu and Kennedy Nestorow arriving on November 2.

Both sets of twins were delivered in Ninewells Hospital.

Riley and Keirra were moved to Montrose Maternity Unit the day after they were born.

Kennedy and Keanu were 13 weeks early, and so they spent the first few months of their young lives in the Special Care Baby Unit, Ninewells.

Now, as the youngsters approach their first birthday, the couples have decided to give something back to both units for their help and dedication over the past year.

The main event that has been organised by the families is a fund-raising quiz bingo on Wednesday, November 13, at
7 p.m.

Tickets for the evening cost £12 each, which includes an Ashvale supper. £6 from the ticket sales will go towards the
units.

Also at the Ashvale there is a ‘guess the number of sweeties in the jar’ as well as a ‘lemon challenge’ which involves balancing a 10p, 20p or 50p on a lemon for five seconds or more, with a prize of a portion of chips or a slushie.

There is also a raffle with tickets costing just
20p.

If you want to donate to the cause, buy a tickets for the quiz, or to hand in a donation for the raffle you can do so by visiting the Ashvale.
