An evening “at the races” will take place at the Northern Hotel on May 26 when horses will be under starters orders to raise funds for The Attic Drop in Centre.
With this being the first fund raising event carried out by The Attic for a number of years, the local community have risen to the challenge with all races and horses already sponsored.
Local businesses, including Stracathro and Careston Estates, have generously given donations along with many donations from individuals.
Kay Robertson from The Attic said: “To all these members of the community we are extremely grateful but we also hope that a large crowd will come and participate on the evening as Jockeys are required for each horse.”
This fun evening kicks off at 7 pm with the first of six races, followed by a grande finale race of all the previous winners.
All money raised will go towards ongoing running expenses.
Tickets costing £5, which includes a Stovie supper, are available by contacting Kay on 01356 625099.
If you would like to give a donation to The Attic, a fully equipped drop-in centre for young people aged 12 to 25 in Brechin and district, you can do so by using the local giving website at http://localgiving.com/charity/the-attic-youth-project-brechin.
