Police in Brechin are appealing for information, after an attempted break-in at a local business.

The incident took place at M&M Cafe in Market Street at around 3.15am on Saturday, April 23. One of the large windows to the property was extensively damaged during the incident and a person was known to be trying door handles in the lane at the side of the property.

In addition, during the same night a person or persons attempted to gain entry to Try A Bite Cafe on St James Place and the incidents are thought to be linked.

Officers are also investigation a vandalism to a motor car in the car park at the rear of Denburn Court, Brechin which occurred overnight on Saturday, April 23, into Sunday, April 24, whereby a bronze coloured Ford B-Max was purposely scratched along the driver’s side.
