BRECHIN City Supporters’ Club held a Comedy evening on Saturday, April 27, which also incorporated the end of season awards presentation.
The Supporters’ Player of the Year award went, unsurprisingly, to Andy Jackson. Jackson, who arrived in the summer, has been a consistent scorer for the club, scoring 19 goals, 16 of which have been in the league.
Paul McLean received the Player of the Year award, and Alan Trouten was voted the Players’ Player of the Year.
Paul McLean also received an award in recognition of reaching 100 first team appearances for City. Gary Fusco and Craig Molloy also received awards for reaching the milestone.
The award evening seen fans recognises for their contribution. Doctor Alistair Shaw and Supporters’ Club member Steven Stewart both receiving an ‘Above and Beyond’ award from the club for their efforts throughout the season. Margaret Noble was also presented with a special award by the Supporters’ Club to mark over 75 years of support for Brechin City.
Charlie Riddler, the Supporters’ Club bus operator, received an award to commemorate his long association with the club. He is due to retire from his role this year.
