A former Brechin man and his fiancée have made it into the final four of the Tay FM ‘Five brides, one wedding’ competition.

Marc Nicoll (24), who now lives in Carnoustie with his wife-to-be Lauren McWalter (25), is hoping to beat three other couples to the grand prize by raising the most money possible for ‘Cash for Kids’.

Marc and Lauren have competition from three other couples - Rachel Oxley and Kristoffer Reid, Deanna Duncan and James Taylor, and Diane Kidd and Billy Guild.

The competition kicked off on Friday, June 21, and the couple will have just 10 days to raise the most amount of money in order to win their dream wedding, courtesy of Radio Tay and their suppliers.

Cash for Kids raises money for local children and young people who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled and have special needs, or who simply need extra care and guidance. The money raised in Tayside, stays in the Tayside region to help children in the local community.
