Edzell charity walker Bobby Campbell MBE has handed over his 2013 diary to PoppyScotland as part of his fund-raising effort for the charity.
Bobby is currently undertaking a 6,500 mile walk to raise money for PoppyScotland.
He creates a yearly diary of the miles he has covered for every charity he raises money for, and Friday, January 24, marked the handing over of 2013’s diary to Kirstie Mitchell, PoppyScotland’s area manager for the East of Scotland.
This is the second diary Bobby has handed over since he started his fund-raising campaign.
The walk hasn’t been all plain sailing for Bobby, who was forced to take a two money break due to an injury to his heel in May last year.
However, since starting back on his daily walks, his mid-way point of the 6,500 mile challenge is fast approaching.
Bobby, who is set to reach the 3,000 mark Thursday, said: “I was two months behind and I cut it down to seven miles. I’m still getting there. In March I will reach 3,250 miles, which will be the halfway mark.
“The walks going great. I am managing the seven miles without any difficulties.”
Anyone wishing to donate money for the walk can do so by donating funds to Bobby personally or by donating online by visiting http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/edzellwalker.
