Work on Brechin’s flood prevention scheme will lead to a seven week closure of Brechin Bridge.
The bridge will be closed temporarily in mid-January as work of the scheme nears its March completion date.
During the closure there will be no vehicular access across the bridge during this time.
As a result, it will be necessary to divert traffic via Montrose to get to and from Arbroath.
More local traffic may wish to use alternative routes in the area but these will not be sign-posted as they will not be a part of the official diversion route.
