Brechin centre Easter

Record numbers of families enjoyed a sunny Easter Fun Day at Brechin Castle Garden Centre and Country Park at the weekend.

This year’s egg-ceptional turnout of over 1700 people enjoyed entertainment from chainsaw carvers, flyball dog agility teams, mini zoo, falconry, gun dog scurry, barrel train rides and face painting., said a spokesman for the centre.

“Many enjoyed their picnics and egg rolling in the spacious 70 acre park whilst children completed a search for the eggs competition receiving a complimentary chocolate egg,” he added.

“The Easter Bunny was there giving hugs to all and starred in a number of “selfie” photos taken on the day.2

Dundee Gran Hilary Houston said she enjoyed “a wonderful Easter Sunday” and she thanking the Easter bunny for bringing “joy to the children’s faces.”

Competitions were held for Decorated Egg, Easter Bonnet and Best Selfie of the day. Centre Manager Aileen Bennett said how difficult judging was due to the “high standard of entries and fantastic creativity.”
