An ATTEMPT was made to enter a building known as Crosshill, Petrol Plus, on the A935 Montrose Road at sometime between 3pm on Monday, September 17, and 8.50am on Tuesday, September 18, with the intent to steal.

A ladder was used in the attempt and a window smashed. Another window of the building was smashed but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Two Morrison Construction sites in the Menmuir area were forcibly entered and a large quantity of diesel was stolen from fuel tanks within the compounds at sometime between 7am on Sunday, September 23, and 7am on Monday, September 24.

Police are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen persons or vehicles acting suspiciously near the compounds between those times.

A black Mazda 3 sports car was vandalised when it’s bonnet was dented and scratched by unknown means when it was parked and unattended in Bridge Street at sometime between 5pm on Friday, September 21, and 3.45pm on Saturday, September 22.

Police are appealing for witnesses of for anyone with any information to any crime to contact them at Brechin Police Station or by calling 0300 111 2222.
