The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) has updated a flood warning for the Brechin area.
The warning states: “River levels are not expected to peak in this area until Monday afternoon, and will remain high into Tuesday.
“The council are recommending that residents put in place their flood protection measures including door guards and sand bags.
“There is the potential for some surface water issues behind the flood protection.
“At this time river levels are predicted to be similar to those experienced in 2002, which will not be as high as the recent event on December 30.”

An amber weather warning is place until 11.55pm tonight, and the Met office has issued a yellow weather alert for rain on Tuesday from 12.05 am until 11.55pm. A yellow alert for rain has also been issued for Thursday.
