Two Brechin based organisations were amongst the top-prize winners at this years Angus Ambassador Awards.
Hydrus Energy Engineering Ltd and the Caledonian Railway scooped the Business Angus Award and Community Angus Award respectively at this evenings awards ceremony.
The awards, presented by Angus Ahead and sponsored by local companies, were hosted by STY’s Andrea Brymer.
Angus Ambassador of the Year, sponsored by Forster Energy Solutions, was awarded to John Paterson, chief executive of Montrose Port Authority.
John Forster, director of Forster Energy Solutions and ambassador awards’ judge said: “This is the first year we’ve sponsored the Angus Ambassador of the Year award and it’s been a privileged experience to be involved from the start through the judging process then at the awards ceremony itself.
“All the finalists were outstanding and I’m sure a lot of people are very proud of Angus after hearing about them. I certainly am.”
Highly commended in the International Angus Award Matrix International Ltd whilst the Caledonian Railway were highly commended in the Tourism Angus Award.
