Brechin High School Notes - December 13
ACTIVITIES coming up at Brechin High School in the near future are as follows:-
Captains' Concert
The Head Boy/Head Girl team are busy putting the final touches to their Christmas Concert party. They will be visiting Maisondieu, Andover, Bearehill and The Dalhousie Centre as their usual venues. This year they have added another venue, Edzell Primary School. Pupils there will be joined by pupils from Lethnot, Stracathro and Tarfside.
"How Do We Feel" Dance Visit
As a follow up to the "How do we feel" dance visit, "The Space" in Dundee are offering a follow-up day for S2 Pupils. "A day in the life of a Dance Student" will be an all-day dance activity from 10.00 am till 2.30pm on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Any S2 pupils who are interested should see Mr Hastie as soon as possible.
RSNO Christmas Concert
There are still places left on the coach to go to the RSNO Christmas Concert in the Caird Hall on Thursday, December 21. Tickets cost 4. Instrumental pupils should already have information about this. Any other pupils should see Mrs Jackson if they are interested in going.
Schools Fantasy Football League
Well done to the following who all receive a Manager of The Month Certificate, for November: Robin Lee, Marc Milne, James Hair, Mrs. Hutton, Jack Mann and Ciaran Ryan.
S5/S6 pupils
The maths department is setting up a lunchtime club for S1 pupils and we need volunteers to help run it. It would be ideal for any senior pupil as an opportunity for school service. A training session is being held for any interested pupils. See Mrs. Rollo for more details.
Channel Swim
Well done to everyone who took part in the Channel Swim. All record sheets and sponsor money should be returned to Miss Leckie.
Brechin Cathedral Singing Scholarships
If you enjoy singing and would like to be involved in performing please see Mrs. Jackson for details of a singing scholarship.

Reading for Gold
Congratulations to Heather Duff 1.1 1K13 the first Gold Award winner this session.

April 2007: Monday 2 to Holiday Friday 13 April Includes Good Friday 6 April; School starts Monday 16 April; Wednesday 18 S3 Exams start.
