We will also have the services of a drama worker, Ms Alison Muir working 2.5 days per work in the school and shared with Arbroath Academy.
Brechin Community Schools Partnership - Radio Tay Roadshow
The Brechin Community Schools Partnership are planning a major event to bring together local organisations and clubs that offer a service or support to children and families in the local community. The event will be held in Brechin High School on Saturday, September 23, 2006. It will provide an excellent opportunity for local organisations to publicise what is on offer to young people. Radio Tay will broadcast information in the week running up to the event and will be present on Saturday, September 23. It is also intended to have a range of fun activities for younger children. The school's Pupil Council will have a key role in planning the event. Local organisations should now have received an invitation. If any organisation requires further information, or did not receive an invitation, they should contact Steve Dempsey at Brechin High School, telephone 622135 or Helen Wallace at the Damacre Centre telephone 623491.
The Community Roadshow at Brechin High School will also have a book fair to raise funds for the school Library Resource Centre. A wide range of materials will be available for purchase and leaflets will be sent home before the fair so that parents and friends can browse at their leisure. There will be activities and competitions for younger children. More details to follow.

In addition, six more teachers have an interactive whiteboard to support the learning process. As part of our School of Ambition plans, we intend to install a digital projector in every teaching area in the school.
Canteen
The canteen has been redecorated over the summer holiday and new floor covering also laid. The colours are bright and yes, they have been chosen by pupils! The canteen now serves a range of healthy options at lunchtime as part of the 'Hungry for Success' programme. New furniture and a salad bar are also planned and should be up and running by the October holiday.
Toilets
The refurbishment of the girls' toilet on the bridge is now completed…well nearly…we just await the mirrors. The colours are bright and tiles look fantastic. The group of S4 girls involved in this development are to be commended for their excellent choice. Brechin High School pupils making real decisions to improve the facilities in their school.
