HMIe Interim Follow Through Report

HMIe published their report on Tuesday, September 5, following their planned visit to the school in April 2006. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress that the school has made towards the Main Points for Action in the report published in June 2005. The report has been posted home to all parents. Copies of the original report can be obtained from the School Office or from the HMIe website: www.hmie.gov.uk. Parents will continue to be kept informed about the progress being made by the school during this session.

Duke of Edinburgh cyclists

Congratulations to our Duke of Edinburgh pupils working towards their Gold Award. They recently completed their cycle expedition, which started south of Inverness and ended at Fort William. The group members were:- Kirstene Hair, David August, Edan Annand, Mark Smith and Jodie McGregor. They had to take all their kit with them in specially designed trailers. The group was accompanied by Ms Strudley and Mr. Coates along the route. We believe that this is the first occasion that pupils from an Angus school have completed a cycle expedition as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
