Angus companies urged to benefit from free promotion

Angus companies are being urged to take up the offer of a free promotional opportunity from Angus Council.

The council’s economic development division is sending out over 3,000 questionnaires to companies in the county seeking information on their business.

The survey will be used to update company information held by the division and to help it accurately analyse the performance of the local economy. The survey will also help to inform companies of council services and of any grants, courses, exhibitions or export opportunities that may be of interest.

In addition to this, the information received will be used to promote the goods and services offered by local firms nationally and internationally.

Companies which reply to the survey will be given a free listing in the online Angus Business Directory within Companies with existing entries can have their information updated.

Councillor Mairi Evans said: “I am pleased that in these difficult financial times, the council is offering Angus companies an opportunity to promote their businesses and access a range of growth opportunities.”

Being on the angusahead site can also help businesses gain increased exposure and publicity through a number of opportunities, including taking part in joint promotions.

The Angus Portal is part financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the East of Scotland Objective 2 Programme

Any company which does not receive a questionnaire, and would like one, or would like more information, can contact Wilma Gordon, development officer, on (01307) 473284 or e-mail
